Precision wire springs

Laser-welded annular springs in many versions

Annular springs

Our all-rounders – laser-welded annular springs with wire diameters ranging from 0.1 to 2.0 mm are used for reliable yet flexible mechanical connection, for contacting and shielding, or as a supporting element.

We offer our laser-welded annular springs in many versions designed to meet your specific requirements and your applications:

Contact element, mechanical and electrical plug connection

Carl Haas contact elements are ring-shaped springs that carry high electrical currents in a tight space. Each individual coil in the annular spring acts as a contact point. Ring-shaped springs are also used as contact elements in purely mechanical connections. They can be used in both static and dynamic applications in the high and medium voltage range in the automotive industry and other sectors.

EMC / EMI / RFI shielding

The demand for effective shielding solutions for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC shielding), electromagnetic interference (EMI shielding) and radio frequency interference (RFI shielding) in electrical components is growing all the time. This shielding prevents damage and failure of critical systems and components. Diagonally wound CARL HAAS springs are used as effective shielding components and measurably reduce radiation interference and conductor failure. Diagonally wound springs used as EMC/EMI/RFI shielding solutions are available in a wide range of materials, coatings, sizes and configurations.

Controlled tensioning of shaft sealing rings

CARL HAAS tension springs for shaft seals are used in seals for controlled tensioning and to accommodate or compensate for wear. Their area of application is in machinery, equipment and automotive engineering."
